Season Four of Newsmakers, the Lesher Speaker Series, sold out within hours! Here is your opportunity to hear Jean-Michel Cousteau speak at the Lesher Center. You are also invited to the private reception, held at the Theater’s Encore room, before the lecture and meet with Jean-Michel Cousteau.  For more than four decades, explorer, environmentalist, educator, and film producer Jean-Michel Cousteau has used his vast experience to communicate to people of all nations and generations his love and concern for our water planet. As president of Ocean Futures Society, Jean-Michel travels the globe, meeting with world leaders and policy makers, both at the grassroots level and the highest echelons of government and business, educating young people, documenting stories of change and hope, and lending his reputation and support to help energize alliances for positive change.
Only 20 tickets for balcony seats and private pre-lecture reception will be available.

Elegant Picnic at Artist Point and Moonlight Hike on Mt. Diablo
Saturday, September 29

A one of a kind experience on Mount Diablo! Save Mount Diablo’s staff will serve an elegant gourmet picnic dinner, including excellent wines, at one of Mt. Diablo’s finest picnic spots, Artist Point. The picnic will be followed by a hike in the Moonlight, led by Seth Adams, Director of Land Programs at Save Mount Diablo. Seth will cajole this party of 20, on this moderate hike, with his passion for the mountain. You'll enjoy the history, legends, and Mt. Diablo as you seldom experience it - in the light of the moon. This wonderful evening spent on Mount Diablo will give you a renewed appreciation of this wilderness next door.
