Come celebrate Halloween on the trails of Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve, costumes optional but encouraged! Referring to an essential fuel source for the bourgeoning Bay Area of the mid 1800’s, Black Diamond Mines has beautiful scenery and a long standing history of industry. The Preserve traverses areas of grassland, foothill woodland, mixed evergreen forest, chaparral, stream vegetation and exotic plantings introduced by coal miners. Be sure to bring plenty of water, a snack, and dress in layers. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots recommended. Heavy rain cancels.

***There will be a $5 park entrance fee when kiosk is attended
