You can be one of the most influential people in the county, state and country! Use this page as a resource on a regular basis to find out what new issues have developed and to get updates on ongoing activities. Be proactive – write a letter or make a few phone calls. Why? Your efforts make a major difference in obtaining funds that will be used to expand Mount Diablo and surrounding regional parks and also to ensure smart development in the Tri-Valley area. Letters and phone calls are counted and used by our elected and appointed officials to gauge support or opposition to issues.

How to Do It

Writing: Mailed letters or faxes are given more weight than phone calls and e-mails. Letters simply need to state either support or opposition for funding or an issue. The more to the point, the better

Calling: When the receptionist answers, simply say you are calling to convey your opinion to the supervisor, assembly member, senator, etc. The receptionist will type your comments re: supporting or opposing an issue and pass it on to the your elected official.

2. Don’t Let The State Forget Mount Diablo or our parks. Please Write the Governor! Write Gov. Jerry Brown and ask for land funding for Mount Diablo State Park and to increase funding for operations in general.
